Mariam Chavez is proud to be part of The Injury Avengers team. She is currently working toward her Associate of Applied Science in Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies, adding formal training to the hands-on legal experience she has already gained.
Mariam's entry into helping people who had been injured started in healthcare. She spent several years studying nursing and working in the medical field, where she found real meaning in helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and that sense of purpose has always stayed with her. In 2025, she moved into the legal field and gained experience in personal injury and immigration law. Within her first year and a half, she knew she had found her calling.
She sees her healthcare years as the foundation for her legal career. Working in fast-paced clinical settings taught her to stay organized, adjust quickly when priorities change, and stay calm with sensitive, time-sensitive matters. Those skills serve The Injury Avengers' clients every day. Her medical background also helps her understand what injured clients are going through, both physically and emotionally.
Mariam is fluent in English and Spanish. She knows how much it means for someone to talk about a medical or legal problem in the language they're most comfortable with. She takes pride in bridging that gap, so every client feels heard, understood, and respected. Her heritage shapes how she works, grounded in loyalty, respect, and a strong commitment to community.
Part of what inspired her to change careers was a couple she met who went to law school around age 40 and built rewarding careers as attorneys. Their example showed her it's never too late to follow a new path. As she continues her education, Mariam is committed to growing in the legal field and making a lasting, positive difference for the people she serves.
Outside the office and the classroom, Mariam enjoys playing soccer, exploring new places, shopping, and spending time at church. The Injury Avengers are incredibly lucky to have her on our team.
